We are very pleased to announce an upcoming workshop on “Integrating Social Media Analysis into the Copernicus Emergency Management Service”, organised by the E2mC consortium, to be held on 3 July 2018, during the GI Forum that will take place from 3rd to 6th in Salzburg, Austria. The objective is to present the progress as well as the already promising results of the project to relevant and interested stakeholders, while also allowing participants to have a hands-on experience with the system.
The workshop is divided in two parts:
- From 1:00pm to 2:30pm - a special session on “Participatory Disaster Management – Fusing Remote Sensing Data with User-generated Geo-data” with 3 academic presentations (2 from E2mC partners) followed by an introduction to E2mC.
- From 3:00pm to 4:30pm - a hands-on session focused on the use and integration of social media for disaster management.
Participation to the workshop only (the presentations and the hands-on session) is free of charge. You may find further information about the GI-FORUM on the event's website.
