Council approves the EU's legislative priorities for 2018-2019

On 12 December, the Council approved the EU's legislative priorities for 2018-2019 which have been agreed with the European Parliament and the Commission. The priorities are set out in a joint declaration due to be signed by the Presidents of the three institutions on 14 December. The declaration lists the main legislative initiatives on which the three institutions aim to achieve substantial progress and, where possible, agreement, before the 2019 European elections.

Success of the 17th PSCE Conference in Madrid

 

On 28 and 29 November 2017, another PSCE conference successfully took place at the headquarters of the Spanish National Police in Madrid.

The PSCE conference in Madrid was the first in Europe to address the transition to new broadband from such a variety of perspectives. High national representatives and top-level experts from the US, UK, Norway, France and Belgium shared their experience, providing a status update while addressing the challenges and opportunities related broadband transition. The first stage towards the development of a pan-European interoperable public safety network resulting from the H2020 BroadMap project, was further presented.  Other topics included the General Data Protection Regulation, the Use of Video in Public Safety and IoT for Public Safety and many more.

David Lund presents BroadMap @ CommsConnect

Today November 21st 2017, David Lund (PSCE) presented the BroadMap project, as a major European Union effort to prepare for Public Safety Mobile Broadband in the EU, during a workshop at the CommsConnect conference for the Australia/New Zealand region.
